Once you stop learning (growing) you start dying
Har Koi Mast-e-Mai-e-Zauq-e-Tan Asani Hai,
Tum Musalman Ho? Ye Andaaz-e-Musalmani Hai?
he love of ease, like fumes of wine makes sots of you today,
How dare you pass as Mussalmans? That is not Islam’s way?

We, the human beings, are responsible for our own emotional wellbeing. It's not up to anyone else. Our spouse can't keep our soul well, our doctor, our friends, our parents, nobody has control over our soul except us. In one sense not even God. He's not going to make us forgive, make us not worry, force us to not live angry, offended, guilty. These are choices that we have to make.
An-Najm (The Star) 53:39
وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَى
And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives
Ar-Ra'd (The Thunder) 13:11
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِّن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلاَ مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَالٍ
[thinking that] he has hosts of helpers - both such as can be perceived by him and such as are hidden from him -that could preserve him from whatever God may have willed. Verily, God does not change men's condition unless they change their inner selves; and when God wills people to suffer evil [in consequence of their own evil deeds], there is none who could avert it: for they have none who could protect them from Him.
[Al-Balad (The City) 90:4
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي كَبَدٍ
Verily, We have created man into [a life of] pain, toil and trial (struggle). [hard struggle]
Ash-Sharh (The Opening Forth) 94:5 - 6
0 فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا 0 إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:65
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِينَ اعْتَدَواْ مِنكُمْ فِي السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ
And you had already known about those who transgressed among you concerning the sabbath (from Friday evening to Saturday evening), and We said to them, "Be apes, despised."
At-Tin (The Fig) 95:4
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
Verily, We create man in the best conformation (goodliest mould, best stature, best composition).
We’re either growing or dying every day - either Personal Growth or Personal Death.
Every living organism, organ, or cell is either in the process of growing or dying, nothing in between.]
