Singapore's Advice to Pakistan by Lee Kuan Yew
Singapore's Advice to Pakistan by Lee Kuan Yew
Lee Kuan Yew served as first Prime Minister of Singapore from 1959 to 1990 for 30 years. he appointed honest independent judges.
In 1999 (23-30 August), Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, visited Singapore. In a meeting with Lee Kuan Yew (Ex Prime Minister) said that he visited Pakistan 8 times.
According to Lee Kuan Yew, Pakistan has no chance to make progress due to 3 reasons. 1) You take this world as temporary. You have no time to pay attention to buildings, roads and sewerage system. You people believe in the life hereafter. 2) Hindu and Muslim have different psychology approach. Hindus don't go for long court process when there was no hope in case. But Muslims were different. If you leave your generations with problems, not solutions, you'll see the result accordingly. 3) Army's involvement in politics. Army's training is different. Army believes in kill or let it be killed. Politics is based on 'live and let live', reconciliation.
