Stronger in love for Allah (SWT)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) - سورة البقرة2:165 

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَندَادً۬ا يُحِبُّونَہُمۡ كَحُبِّ ٱللَّهِ‌ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَشَدُّ حُبًّ۬ا لِّلَّهِ‌ۗ وَلَوۡ يَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓاْ إِذۡ يَرَوۡنَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ أَنَّ ٱلۡقُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعً۬ا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ

And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah (SWT) as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah (SWT). But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah (SWT). And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.

اورایسے لوگ بھی ہیں جنہوں نے الله کے سوا اور شریک بنا رکھے ہیں جن سے ایسی محبت رکھتے ہیں جیسی کہ الله سے رکھنی چاہیئے اور ایمان والوں کو تو الله ہی سے زیادہ محبت ہوتی ہے اور کاش دیکھتے وہ لوگ جو ظالم ہیں جب عذاب دیکھیں گے کہ سب قوت الله ہی کے لیے ہے اور الله سخت عذاب دینے والا ہے

Imam Hussain AS said: "People are the slaves of this world, and religion is just in their tongue. They keep it as long as it meets their comfortable life. But when the test comes, religion holders become very few."

Imam Ali AS said: Since not all our wishes are obtainable and since nobody will exceed his life-limit, and since everybody has got to go the way of those who have passed away, therefore we should observe the following points: 

a) We should never be greedy for what we want. We should endeavor not more than adequate.

b) We should be honest in our business. We should have our incomes obtained legally and we should spend in good ways what we earn.

Sometimes it may happen that greed may cause the loss of the owner’s capital altogether. And not every effort is always of benefit. Any well-wisher will benefit from his trials, however.
